Pedal Pulse Cycling Club – Terms and Conditions

Welcome to the Pedal Pulse Cycling Club, a British Cycling-affiliated club. By joining our club, you agree to abide by the following terms and conditions, which help ensure a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all members.
1. Membership Eligibility
All members must have a valid British Cycling membership at the appropriate level for club activities.
Members under the age of 18 must have parental or guardian consent to join and participate in club events.
By joining, you agree to share your contact details with club administrators for communications related to club activities.
2. Code of Conduct
Members agree to:
Ride responsibly, respectfully, and safely at all times
Treat fellow members, volunteers, and the public with courtesy and respect
Uphold the values of inclusivity, fairness, and community
Avoid conduct that may bring the club or British Cycling into disrepute
Any inappropriate behaviour, including harassment or discriminatory language, may result in disciplinary action, including suspension or removal from the club.
3. Participation in Events and Rides
All members participate in club rides and events at their own risk and must ensure they are physically and medically fit to take part.
Helmets are mandatory on all group rides.
Members must obey the Highway Code and any instructions given by ride leaders or marshals.
Club kit is encouraged at official events to promote team identity.
4. Insurance and Liability
It is the responsibility of the member to ensure adequate insurance coverage through British Cycling or other means.
Pedal Pulse Cycling Club, its officers, and ride leaders accept no liability for loss, damage, injury, or death incurred during club activities, unless caused by proven negligence.
5. Communication
Official communications will be sent via email or posted in designated online groups/platforms (e.g., WhatsApp, British Cycling portal, or the Pedal Pulse app).
Members are expected to check communications regularly and respond when appropriate, especially when attending organised events or rides.
6. Club Kit and Representation
Wearing the official Pedal Pulse kit is encouraged at races and events to foster club identity and presence.
Members representing the club in races must register under Pedal Pulse Cycling Club on event entry forms.
7. Termination of Membership
Members may cancel their club membership at any time via British Cycling or by notifying the club secretary.
The club reserves the right to revoke membership in cases of serious or repeated breaches of these terms.
8. Changes to Terms
These terms may be updated periodically. Members will be notified of any significant changes.
Continued participation in the club constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
